Double-breasted coats and jackets feature two parallel rows of buttons that go across the front of the chest, with overlapping flaps covering the buttons. To be functional, just one or two rows of buttons are required on a double-breasted jacket. The number-on-number structure of a jacket is when the number of buttons (on the jacket and below the lapel) is equal.

Where to wear it?
