The Right Look: With Plaid Blazer for a Casual Evening
We have seen many blazers with chess Prince of Wales and window pane, the trend with this type of pattern actually was present in the male repertoire, but chess like the tartan , as the photo is still little explored, but no less cool than their brothers.
Why does it work?
The clever combination of pieces at the top of this look is undeniable. The tantan plaid blazer in dark green and purple tones worked very well with the full-bodied black shirt. On the other hand, the stoned jeans gave a very casual and young feel, and I need not say how much I like combos that use the contrast of styles to create something interesting.
While there is a chain of men who tend to exaggerate, with super glued and woven pieces, others show that balance is ideal. No super skinny pants, a slim fit jeans can do the job, not revealing more than you should or giving that impression that you were vacuum-packed.
The sophisticated leather boot is also a nice touch. The brown pinion shoes have a dress boot footprint and many might think that they could not pair with denim, but the proposal is precisely to create something more elegant, probably for a night event and here this boot fits like a glove, if I may the pun. ; )
The only exception in this case is the pants with the bar a little shorter than I think it should, luckily the boy is tall and does not suffer with his leg looking shorter, in addition the boot prevents the bar from looking so high.
Try it…
change the shirt for a V-neck shirt if you want something more stripped down, the piece is the ideal change in this casual combo.
It wouldn’t be the same if…
the blazer was smooth, as plaid monopolizes attention and keeps it where everyone wants it: on the chest and face.
Summing up:
- Tartan chess also deserves attention from the male audience, as did the Prince of Wales and the Window Pane;
- The combination of the dark colors of the blazer with the shirt gave the ideal tone for an evening event, although nothing prevents it from being worn during the day;
- The contrast between tailoring and stoned jeans always pleases me and it was no different here;
- The shoes with a dress boot look were a touch of class, the sophisticated leather of the boot did not fight with the casualness of jeans, because the proposal here was to contrast;
- I am not a detractor of skinny pants, but some models are very exaggerated, here the slim fit was perfect and elegant;
- You can make the look more casual by exchanging the shirt for a V-neck t-shirt;
- The highlight of this combo is the tantan plaid, without a doubt, it is stylish and still draws the eye to the top of the look.
