Linen: Maxi Trend for Men’s Fashion in Summer 2021

In the past, the wrinkled look (which I admit to have its charm) transformed linen into a very casual piece, much appreciated on the beach, today it is possible to wear a linen outfit without losing urban elegance. The blend of fibers maintains a bit of rusticity, but without exaggeration, even guaranteeing some elasticity. Look at the picture above, wouldn’t you wear this shirt at a casual daytime event or even to work?

In summer 2021 the pieces that stood out in the winter now appear using linen to ensure the user’s freshness. The chore coat , a big bet of several brands, already has its version in the fabric appearing around, maintaining another trend, that of workwear clothes. Bombers, truckers and other lightweight jackets also get their “summer version”, that is, linen everywhere!

Flax in summer 2021 – Colors of this summer

There is a big bet on a color palette that mixes shades of beige, ivory, brown and olive green or in more washed tones. Here linen gets along well again, as many of these shades are always present in the collections of this fabric.

Raw colors are another highlight of the summer. Everything reminiscent of straw, sand, tree bark, dry grass, or, the biggest irony, the pure linen thread, which tends to be valued for looking like something with little human interference, something more handmade and pleasant to use. Now take a look at the linen clothes out there and you’ll notice that most of them use these palettes that I just described.

Linen in summer 2021 – Combinations with linen clothes

I would like to say that linen suits are an option, but as there is still no provision for normal social interaction, I think that no one will want to sit at home in social attire. Still, thinking about comfort, combinations with two pieces of the same fabric (pants or shorts + shirt) are welcome, especially if they involve the color palettes I mentioned earlier.

Jackets can compose the look in a very relaxed way. Feel free to fold your sleeves, keeping your body fresh and looking stylish. Basics like white T-shirts and neutral chinos are a good accompaniment.

On your feet, open shoes like siders or loafers can be a good idea, as well as unbeatable white leather or canvas sneakers.
